Party Invitation
A reminder and more details about the first Mahon About Town party of the season on Thursday, April 26th, from 6 to 9 p.m., a warm up for Daffodil Weekend. The party will be at the “new” Rose & Crown: a new look, new menu, new lighting and sound system, and new comfortable booths surrounding the main floor.
There will be a cash bar, and free appetizers and samples from the new R&C menu. Here’s just a few sample items from the new pub menu: rissoto and mozzarella croquettes, Spicy Cajun Popcorn Shrimp, Blue Cheese and Bacon Burger, Cubano Burger, Savory Meatloaf Sandwich, Lamb Shank, Roasted Veggie & Goat Cheese Quesadilla, and more.
On stage will be an island all-star jazz and Chicago blues band with Tom Stoddart on horn, Jake Vohs on piano, Andy Bullington guitar, and Erik Wendelkin on bass.
I thought this would also be a good opportunity to raise a little money for a worthy non-profit, so we’ll be asking for a suggested donation of $10 at the door for Nantucket Behavioral Health, the primary mental health agency on the island.
Our party ends around 9, but you may want to stick around for the Karaoke Finals that start at 10. The winner that night competes against all other winners from the past few months to win a grand cruise.
Bring your friends, and meet up with friends and other MAT subscribers before the Daffodil crush. Hope to see you there.
