The Short Play Festival, presented by Theatre Workshop and Nantucket Theatrical Productions, runs April 26, 27, 28 and May 3, 4, 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Performance Center, Methodist Church, 2 Centre St. Details on the Calendar.
Friday 27th
- The Halfween James Bond 007 party hosted by the Nantucket Arts Council. Casino, Costume Contest, Prizes, Black Tie or Bad Guy Attire Suggested. Live music by Miss Fairchild. 8:00 pm - 12:00 am at the Rose & Crown.

- The 6th annual Mayfest Celebration benefitting the Lighthouse School, with silent auction, live auction, music, the food of Peter Wallace, and an open bar: 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. at the Westmoor Club. Details.
- The Paintings of Elizabeth Rebecca Coffin exhibition opens today from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Whitney Gallery, NHA Research Library, 7 Fair Street.
- The opening reception for the Artists Association Daffodil Weekend Show takes place from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the gallery.
- Galleryblue Grand Opening, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, featuring oil based prints by Judith Brust at 20 & 21 Old South Wharf.
- The opening reception for the Nantucket Handmade Crafts Show Opening, presented by the Nantucket Artisans Collective, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Preservation Hall, Upstairs at 11 Centre Street.The show continues Saturday from 10 to 4.
