Nantucket Secret Gardens
The Nantucket Cottage Hospital celebrated the publication of this year’s Secret Gardens calendar with a cocktail reception at Moor’s End, Friday, July 6, 2007. Among the people in attendance were Catherine Velez, Chuck Gifford, Marilyn Whitney (owner of Moor’s End), Peggy Gifford, Edith Bouriez, Susan Daniels and John Daniels, Beverley Hall, Hammy and Ginger Heard, Gardiner Nash, Susan and John Daniels, Roberta and Peter Louderback, Dolly and Pete Howell, Ashley Potter and Tom Louderback, Bill and Sheila Sullivan, Meredith Sobol, Judy Caldwell, Michelle Whelan, Julia Mintz, Vladimir Kagan and Erica Wilson, Kelly Courtney, Kate Hamilton, Seaweed himself, Laurie Richards, and more.

This Thursday and Friday nights at 8 o’clock, On The Isle presents an original play, “The American Dream” in a rehearsal/stage reading at the Sconset Casino. There is no charge and all are welcome.
Macy Smith, Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Medical Surgical Nurse Manager, will sing the National Anthem at the Boston Pops on Nantucket concert, Saturday, August 11th at Jetties Beach. This is the first time in 11 years that a member of the Hospital staff will launch the show. The 11th Annual Boston Pops on Nantucket concert, sponsored by Nantucket Island Resorts/Jill and Stephen Karp as a benefit for Nantucket Cottage Hospital, features Keith Lockhart conducting the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, with a special performance by Natalie Cole, and guest appearance by Synergy Brass Quintet. Tim Russert, Managing Editor and Moderator of Meet the Press and political analyst for NBC Nightly News and the Today Program, will again host the event. Tickets at www.nantuckethospital.org. or at the Hospital Living Room and in-town at Aunt Leah’s Fudge, Country Village Real Estate, Murray’s Toggery Shop and Visitors Services.
