Update 8/4/07

I ran into a dozen or more subscribers at Jetties last night, listening to blues singer/songwriter/guitar player Chris Bergson. Tonight’s his last night though, so get on over. 6:30 to 9.

A last minute addition to the line up at the Starlight. Tonight and Sunday night, Nicole Miller will join Jeff Ross out on the patio. Nicole performs with Julian Marley’s band, and is a joy to watch and hear.

I caught Nicole and Jeff last time around in mid June. Jeff most generously gave Nicole all the space and background she needed to shine, and their duets were magical. Katie Kaizer has contributed the photos you see here - the rest are on Mahon About Town.

This is worth a trip to town on a busy August night. That’s tonight (Saturday) and Sunday, from 9:30 to 1.

Another late listing: Alastair Crawford has a reception tonight at 3 Old South Wharf, introducing “The Inglefield Collection,” nautical bracelets and necklaces of sterling silver and 18k gold, designed by Alastair Crawford using the “Inglefield Clip,” a shackle invented by his great grandfather Admiral Sir Frederick Inglefield.
