I’m preparing a much larger edition for over the weekend. In the meantime, here’s some tips for this weekend.
Michael Sturgis of Cinco has invited all Mahon About Towners to Cinco tonight for complimentary tapas prepared by chef Jean-Luc on the grill on the outdoor patio tonight, Friday (7th), from 6:30-8:30, with jazz by the Richard Sylvester Trio.
Also tonight, DJ Scott Capizzo and Billy Voss will be down at Jetties Restaurant.
Joshua Tree is at the Box Friday and Saturday nights.
A good chance to feel like the island is ours again at the County Fair this weekend, 10 to 5 on Saturday and 11 to 4 on Sunday out at Tom Nevers. All-Star softball game, pumpkin contest, live music, pet show, storyteller, flea market, records & Burpee animal shows. On Saturday, on your way out, stop at the Nantucket Farmers and Artisans Market from 9 to 12 on Nobadeer Farm Road.
The free Sunday Poetry Slam from 2 to 4 at Umass Boston Field Station features Victor D. Infante and an open mic.
The Bob Lehman Trio is back to its Friday through Sunday gig at the Brant Point Grill, from 7:30 to 10:30.
