Airport Groundbreaking

Agter several years of efforts and planning, the Airport officially broke ground for the new $26 million terminal renovation and construction project at 11:28 am on Thursday, October 4th. In attendance were the federal, state and local authorities who bruit the project to fruition. The Nantucket High School Honors Chorus opened with the Nantional Anthem, and Foley Vaughan, Chair of the Airport Commission MC’d the ceremony. Construction will begin at the end of October, and should be completed by June 2009. Go to the airport website for updates on any impacts to travelers.
