BENEFITS and NON-PROFIT EVENTS
The Big Brothers Big Sisters 28th Annual Iron Teams Relay takes place this Sunday, June 1, beginning at 8:00 am. Teams and individuals can race in one or more legs including beach and road running, a paddle, a swim and a 19 mile bike ride. The race ends at the Chicken Box with an after party and awards ceremony.
MSPCA Flea (and Tick) Market is this Sunday, June 1, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the MSPCA.

The Pan Mass Challenge TeamNantucket Fundraiser is Wednesday, June 4, 5:00 pm at Jetties Beach. The Pan Mass Challenge is a two-day 192-mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown. TeamNantucket: Scott Thomas, Don Kolp, Meghan Canning, and Scott Allan. Details.
THEATER
Nantucket Theatrical Production’s Short Play Festival entitled “Imagination’s Run Wild”, is comprised of 3 one-act plays by winners of the 2007 Nationwide Short Play Festival and Competition. For this last weekend, curtain is 7:30 PM on Friday May 30th, and Saturday May 31st.

NIGHT LIFE & CONCERTS
At the Box, Superhoney plays through Saturday, the 29th-31st. Then it’s Miss Fairchild on Monday and Tuesday (2nd and 3rd).
The AM Group, last year regularly at the Rose & Crown, now spins every Saturday night at the Muse through October, with “Drop: Local Flavor from Local DJ’s” House music. Details. Video.
At the Rose & Crown, it’s Poker Night on Monday’s, Trivia Quiz Night every Tuesday (at 7 pm), 80’s Video Dance Party on Wednesday, Karaoke on Thursday (9 pm), Disco Night on Friday, Top 40 Video Dance Party on Saturday, and the 2008 Summertime Karaoke Contest on Sundays.

For Nantucket Preservation Month, The Nantucket Preservation Trust presents an Architectural Walking Tour of Sconset: Friday, May 30th at 4 pm. Details.
NANTUCKET BIODIVERSITY INITIATIVE
The Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative (NBI) is a partnership between Nantucket conservation organizations, government agencies, and visiting and on-island scientists and naturalists in documenting the biodiversity of the islands and adjacent waters of Nantucket, and monitoring and conserving that biodiversity.
