Dreamcatcher Dinner and Auction to benefit Hospice of Nantucket: Sunday, June 15, 6 to 10 at the Nantucket Yacht Club. Details and Schedule.

Nantucket AIDS Network Spring Flea Market & Bazaar: Sunday, June 15, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Key Post Corner. Rain Date: June 22. Details.

Marla Ceely Lamb Cancer Travel Fund Walk: Saturday, June 14, 10:00 am at Faregrounds Restaurant. Registration 8 to 10 am. Details.


CONCERTS

Art Baron and the Duke’s Men: Saturday, June 14, 8:00 pm, High School Auditorium. This eight-piece band with vocalist, led by trombonist Art Baron, is comprised of alumni from Duke Ellington’s band. Benefits the Nantucket School of Music. The Youth Jazz Band will also perform. Details.

Women’s Chorus of Nantucket: Sunday, June 15, 4:00 pm, Unitarian Church. Pop, jazz, world and folk music. Details.


DANCE

Dance Studio Workshop Performances: Sunday, June 15, 4:00 pm, and Monday, June 16 at 6 pm. Bennett Hall. Seventeen young dance students will perform. Details.


NIGHT LIFE

The Bob Lehman Trio holds forth at the Brant Point Grill on Friday and Saturday nights.

At the Box, Emergency Broadcast System plays Thursday and Saturday nights, the 13th and 14th. On Monday the 16th, 2 Days Notice, comprised of 4 local musicians, will feature other musicians sitting in, and other local bands will play. Cowboy Mouth comes in for Tuesdya and Wednesday (17th and 18th), and Bloomer Thursday through Saturday.

The AM Group, last year regularly at the Rose & Crown, now spins every Saturday night at the Muse through October, with “Drop: Local Flavor from Local DJ’s” House music. Details. Video.

At the Rose & Crown, it’s Poker Night on Monday’s, Trivia Quiz Night every Tuesday (at 7 pm), 80’s Video Dance Party on Wednesday, Karaoke on Thursday (9 pm), Disco Night on Friday, Top 40 Video Dance Party on Saturday, and the 2008 Summertime Karaoke Contest on Sundays.

Jeff Ross is back at the Starlight on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 to midnight. Jeff will also be at the Ropewalk on Thursday nights.

Alicia Gardner, singer, songwriter, and guitar player with covers and originals. Every Friday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Jetties Restaurant, 5:30 – 8:30. The A.M. Group plays House Music from 7 – 10 on Sundays. Andy Bullington and Tom Stoddart play acoustic blues and harmonica every Tuesday from 5:30 – 8:30.


GALLERIES

The opening reception for Five Featured Artists at the Artists Association is Friday, June 13, from 6 to 8. The artists are Chris Bourbeau, David Lazarus, Charles Parsons, Susan Reid, and George Thomas.

The Cavalier Gallery for Marla Korr is also Friday, June 13, from 6 to 8.

At the Gallery at Four India, “Henry St. Clair (French, 1899 – 1990): The Coast of Normandy” runs from June 20 though July 1.

Every Saturday, 4 to 6:00 pm at The Cellar. The focus changes weekly, and tastings are complimentary.
