Nantucket Cranberry Fest

The 7th Annual Nantucket Conservation Foundation Cranberry Festival took place on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Milestone Cranberry Bog, and estimates are that close to 5000 people attended. Cranberries and sweetened dried cranberries were for sale. There were sheep and shearing demonstrations; hand-woven rugs made from the wool produced from island sheep; catering by Kendra Lockley of Simply With Style with hamburgers, hot dogs, wraps, quahog chowder and salads; Sweet Inspirations with chocolate covered cranberries; hay rides, face painting, tractor rides; and the Shep Cats and The Shingles. Here is a preview of the event, with more photos next week.
